Dr Abu-Serriah followed a unique training pathway in Oral & Maxillofacial and Head & Neck Surgery, combining broad, extensive clinical training and sound research grounding to support clinical practice. Muammar studied medicine and dentistry and completed his residency programme at the prestigious city of Oxford, the UK. Dr Muammar spent time of his training in Germany, Belgium, Romania, Japan, and Australia. He was then selected for the well-renowned, highly competitive, and prestigious National Interface Fellowship Programme in Advanced Head and Neck Surgical Oncology of the UK. After working in the UK for several years as a consultant surgeon, Muammar moved to Auckland, where he has been working as a specialist with more than 15 years of experience. With his wide scope of practice from a simple procedure such as a tooth removal or a tonsillectomy to a complex head and neck reconstruction and microsurgery, he is often referred to by his referrers as the one-stop shop. Muammar, he is one of the most qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Head and Neck Surgeons in Western Europe and Australasia.
